Summertime... almost.

With the current semester soon coming to a close, I find myself giddy with excitement about my summer schedules. It means research time is more readily available. As I plan my months of freedom ahead, I am making clear plans so that I will not miss any opportunity for writing.

This summer is my new research and writing summer. For various reasons, my life has worked out that every other summer I can present my research at conferences. This means that I have the chance to really get down into some detailed research on my off summer. 2016 is that 'off' summer.

I have written before about the importance of keeping a writing journal and I plan to keep a close eye on this once again. April is also when my long-term writing calendar ends which means that I can look back at the year and acknowledge what worked, what great ambitions had to be thrown out, and what accomplishments took place.
