Summer Reading/Writing Challenge: Week 9

This past week was week 9 in my summer challenge. This means that I am half way through my summer work. To write this feels both strangely too soon but also extremely rewarding as well. I have made good progress so far in my summer plans.

The upcoming week, week 10, will be my annual leave. Although I have some plans to shift through  my academic work, I plan to take a break from it as well to ensure that I don't burn out over the course of the second half of the summer.

The last few weeks I have been working hard at getting through reading materials that I have not had the time to get through in the last few years. It has given me some good ideas for what I need to work on in terms of basic knowledge of the field as well as what topics I would like to work on in the future. By placing items in my Scrivner folder as I read and think about different issues that need to be addressed, I hope to have ensured that in the future I can pick this research up more quickly by reading my own summaries and comments.
